Hey Snowman! It's snowing in Colorado, and there are tornadoes west of Flagg! Quite the mid-August weather news.

Would have been quite a sight to be riding the Grand Canyon Railway out of Williams up to the south rim and see a tornado along the way!!

Big storm in Phoenix metro on Aug. 28th. It's been several years since I have seen such a violent system at 10,000 lightning strokes/hour. It sounded like on of those old WWII films with the B-52s carpet bombing and the sky flashing like a hundred strobe lights.

Major storm brings rain, hail, high winds to Valley
National Weather Service meteorologist Leslie Wanek said Sky Harbor recorded peak winds of 75 mph, but radar indicated gusts of up to 100 mph in parts of the metro area.
