snow coming to the Idaho panhandle?

All computer models give me snow after Oct 4th, but I don't think it will happen due to lack of snow in Canada. :(

October 10, 1979, measurable snow fell in much of coastal Southeast New England, including Boston, and I doubt they had much of an upstream snowpack in Quebec, and they don't have the elevation advantages the Mountain West has.

So, don't give up hope.

I start my 8 or 10 day winter weather model watching in November, personally, as I have seen winter precip in person, not too far from Houston, maybe 250 miles, when I was visiting my parents near DFW at Thanksgiving. That was the year of the Leon Lett fumble of a Miami missed field goal. It was all good, Cowboys still won the Super Bowl that year.
