Don't know if it is summer or winter. This morning we had a morning low of 6F, but the afternoon high was 70F. We're used to seeing large temerature swings from day to night in the fall, but this one was pretty big.
Anyone else out West (or other places) have some big swings lately?
Morning low = 6F, afternoon high = 70F.

You must have some extremely low dewpoints and humidity. That is an amazing swing in temps.

Last three days highs/lows:
Oct 29: 73/12
Oct 28: 70/11
Oct 27: 70/6
Yes. Dewpoints have been in the upper teens lately in the afternoon. Another reason is that the cool air also sinks down to the valley floors at night and it cools quickly after the sun goes down. It's also been near record heat in the afternoons.

That's a huge temperature difference! The humidity and dew point must be really low! Perfect starwatching weather right there!
