My new Website ZoomRadar.com

#1 Postby Jeffweather » Tue Dec 09, 2008 7:58 am

Hey guys,

Jeff Berardelli here...
About two years ago I had a light bulb moment and realized what my TV station website really needed was a zoom-able radar like we had in the weather center. At the time no one had it (not the weather channel, Intellicast, anyone!). So with limited computer knowledge I decided to do this myself... And about 6 months ago I finished!

Check out my site today during the big winter storm. Tell me what you think! And check back when you need to.
***One note*** the map defaults to Miami Nexrad (because I live in Miami)... you must select "NATIONAL" in the radar options menu to see the US radar! When severe warnings pop-up you will see them as well.

ZoomRadar.com

Thanks all,
Jeff

Great job! I really like the color scale, stands out better than most.

Than you very much. We worked a lot on that.

By the way... you can double click on radar echoes and get the rain and hail rate!
