USA and the UK

#1 Postby Cookie » Sun Jan 03, 2010 1:27 pm

If this is in the wrong place please feel free to move.

both the Uk and the USA have the best or close to the best weather forecasts and weather warnings any where in the world.

what do you think the US dose well when it comes to forecasting the weather and issuing weather warnings?

what do you think the US could improve on in you're opinion?

and finally is their anything that their counterparts in the uk could learn from their cousins in the us? or vice versa what could we learn from them.

I will be very interested to read and see what people thoughts are.

Hi cookie

Really think the UK could do with something similar to
the NWS the USA has..that is an exellent service over the
pond but of course that is all to do with funding for such a network, of course we have the independant services which make
you pay for the use unlike the NWS in the USA.

I think that there is always room for improvement in any type of service. The US is very fortunate that we have the NWS and many other organizations that focuses on the weather.
