Earthquake in Mid-Atlantic

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Tue Dec 09, 2003 4:30 pm

Wow... 4.5

About 15 seconds of very noticeable rumbling. Phones flooding the radio station... back to work but interesting.

We sure have been having some weird weather lately. Maybe the deep South will get snow this winter!

2 Atlantic tropical storms in December? A snowstorm from DC north on December 5 for the 2nd consecutive year? Earthquakes in VA? What's next - a volcanic eruption in Iowa??

I don't know about volcanoes in Iowa (where would they hide it in all that flat land ). But I know there's a dormant one in KY.

The volcano in IA is hiding under Jacki's neighborhood. It is set to erupt when they get a foot of snow from one storm.
