This severe thunderstorm watch is valid for central Texas from 9:20 pm cst until 3 am cst. There could be large hail with the storms. Large hail is the main threat with these strong thunderstorms as many places in central TX are in the 40s at the surface. Definitely an elevated situation with more elevated severe, thus the large hail threat is enhanced.
More watches are possible furthe east overnight. A large hail, wind, and even a tornado threat does exist overnight for SE Texas as the upper disturbance moves east into stronger instability. Houston and Galveston, keep an eye on this!!!!
