#1 Postby j » Wed Feb 25, 2004 4:01 pm

Holy Cow...this never happens! :)

Winter storm warning in effect from midnight tonight until 6 am est Friday,
The NWS in greenville-spartanburg has issued a winter storm warning.
This warning is for the area from toccoa, carnesville, and hartwell georgia northeast through anderson, pickens, walhalla, greenville, spartanburg, and gaffney south carolina, and shelby north carolina. Snow is expected to begin around midnight and begin to quickly accumulate toward morning. Snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts.
Remember, a winter storm warning means severe winter weather conditions are imminent or highly likely. This heavy wet snowfall could bring down numerous trees and power lines, possibly causing extended power outages in some areas.
