Tornado threat was low...although severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes with little or no advanced warning. That is memorized by hearing it soooo many times. I didn't want anyone to think I was stealing someone else's words.

I was working at a grocery store carrying out groceries, when mother nature decided to unleash the heaviest rain I have seen since last summer.
I was thinking, "I bet there is a severe thunderstorm warning out," and sure enough there was.
About 1:00pm, I saw a peek or two of sun for about an hour or so. I have got a feeling that is what led to the higher instability than progged.
What a way to start off the season!

Waning instability, weak lift, cluster passing thru Columbus isn't indicating hail. No indication of rotation on Radial. But still probably fun!

Some farms near Weeping Water, NE received damage tonight due to high winds.
Also, 70 mph winds were reported in Plattsmouth, NE.
The largest hail of the evening was 1.75" reported by spotters 6 miles NNE of Beverly, KS.

Winds whipped up to 70 mph in Cass County, Neb., knocking a large tree onto a house, causing extensive damage, the National Weather Service said. People were inside at the time, but no one was injured, the Cass County Sheriff's Office said.
Most reports of storm damage Sunday came from Nebraska.
In Lincoln, strong winds tore away a roof piece by piece at 4715 Normal Blvd. The wooden and asphalt roof on top of a car-rental business was a secondary roof, built above a steel roof, a fire official said. He estimated the damage at $5,000.
The roofing blew into a heating unit on the roof, rupturing a gas pipeline. Pieces also flew onto four cars, a camper and a boat below, causing minor damage, the fire official said.
Several scattered power outages also were reported in Lincoln.

High winds damaged a gazebo at a Nebraska City, Neb., park.
Hail as large as an inch in diameter fell in Fairbury and in western Saline County.
Sunday's storm was part of a larger system of wet weather that covered several states. It brought snowfall or rain to parts of Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.
Precipitation totals Sunday included .43 of an inch at Gretna by 8:20 p.m. and .39 inch at Lincoln and .28 inch at Valley, Neb., by 6 p.m.
Most reports of storm damage Sunday came from Nebraska.
In Lincoln, strong winds tore away a roof piece by piece at 4715 Normal Blvd. The wooden and asphalt roof on top of a car-rental business was a secondary roof, built above a steel roof, a fire official said. He estimated the damage at $5,000.
The roofing blew into a heating unit on the roof, rupturing a gas pipeline. Pieces also flew onto four cars, a camper and a boat below, causing minor damage, the fire official said.
Several scattered power outages also were reported in Lincoln.
