MODERATE RISK in Minnesota, svr wx threat continues in M Atl

In Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and north Iowa, an upgrade to moderate risk has been issued by the SPC. Very large hail to baseball sized or larger is the primary threat. However isolated tornadoes are possible in this area as well as a upper disturbance ejects east into the north central United States. Some of the tornadoes in Minnesota including the Minneapolis area could be very strong in intensity today!!! Keep an eye on this.

Meanwhile a warm front extends from southern Michigan down into the Mid Atlantic region. Severe weather is possible in this region will be more isolated. Main threats will be large hail and damaging winds with multicellular storm structures. Also keep an eye on DC and Baltimore as this area could see a severe weather watch issued in the next hour or two. Areas further north into PA and New Jersey looks to have a higher severe probability with a possible MCS later this evening.
