Severe weather occurrences during the past 24 hours...........
--Flash flooding was occurring in Fontanta Park in Iowa this morning
with some evacuations resulting.
--2.46 inches of rain fell in Grand Rapids, Michigan, yesterday
breaking the daily record of 1.13 inches set in 1917.
--A woman had to be evacuated by boat 3 miles east of Salem, Ohio,
due to flash flooding.
--An inch of rain fell in 10-15 minutes in Galena, Illinois.
--Winds gusted to 66 mph in West Union, Iowa, yesterday afternoon.
--Winds gusted to 70 mph in Epworth, Iowa, this morning.
--A semitrailer was blown over by high winds this morning in Rogers,
Nebraska.
--A bridge was washed out near Fredericksburg, Iowa.
24 hour rainfall totals ending at 2 p.m. EDT............
