1st Day of Summer?

#1 Postby Guest » Sun Jun 20, 2004 4:07 pm

Well here it surely doesnt feel that way. (Thankfully) temp is at 74 with a dewpoint of 46! Seen reports of temps down into the 30s and 40s from Michigian/Ohio into the Mid Atlantic and NE.

Who else is enjoying these nice temps and low humidity?

Oh btw back to the 80s and higher humidity come tomorrow thru about Wednesday when yet another front will be pushing its way thru.(Possible bigtime severewx event with this) Some NWS offices in Michigan are talking about POSSIBLE freeze/frost behind the next front!

Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL Father's Day. The temp was in the mid 70's with a breeze, low humidity, bright blue sky - Perfect!! Today is more of the same though the temp is supposed to be about 80 degrees. When I woke up this morning, it was 62 degrees in the house since we left the windows open. I DID NOT want to get out of bed.

Summer started at 8:57 PM EDT last evening when I left my uncles house!!!! It sure didn't feel like it either with temps only up to 74 degrees yesterday with a dewpoint of 48. Today it's near 80 with a 60 dewpoint for the first day of summer. By tomorrow a return flow of moisture will combine with somewhat warmer air. But temps will likely only return to near if not slightly below normal for tomorrow.

Really not a bad way to start summer, huh?
