Flooding Rains hit south Louisiana

#1 Postby PTrackerLA » Thu Jun 24, 2004 6:00 pm

I think anyone from my area can attest to the fact that today was WET! The airport picked up 4.26" of rain as of 5pm and the rain didn't start until about 11:30am. Streets flooded all over the city and I saw quite a few stalled cars and lots of traffic jams. The river is well above flood stage again and with more rain forecasted for the next few days it will only rise. Starting to wonder if this will be a repeat of last month.

FYI - over 46" of rain has fallen in Lafayette since Jan 1 and that's close to a 17" surplus for the year!

Check out my forecast
