Cold Winter?

#1 Postby Yankeegirl » Fri Aug 13, 2004 7:20 am

Just a thought... Since we are having such odd cold fronts move through the Houston area, in August (2 so far) does that indicate a cold winter on tap? I would love some comments on this idea.... Thx!

The long range outlook for the southern plains indicates a mild winter. That is what I have heard and I think that it is probably true. Also above avg. precip. from Texas into W. Illinois.

One of the things I have been interested in is the Hudson Bay. I know I have mentioned this in a previous post before, but the Hudson Bay is still reported to be frozen over. Usually parts of the Hudson are free water, but this year they have remained frozen, I'm not for sure if this would have anything to do with all of these cold(er) fronts, but it's a thought.
