Indianapolis had a record low of 48 the other morning. The record for this morning is 50. Temp only got down to 55.

This will probably be the last of it. Summer and Storms (Isolated Severe) To Return as early as Tomorrow.

I think it is going to come to an end pretty soon. The Trough in the East is forecast to move on out soon. I believe it because there is a whale of a storm system going through Canada that will help to pull this trough outta here!!

We tied our all time record low for August 58 degrees, a few days ago. But now, it's back to the heat! Thankfully we have good rain chances starting tomorrow because things are so parched around here.

Indeed they do over the entire Northest quarter of the state. I am already at a chilly 48 degrees!! I'm only at 11 o'clock, with clear skies, it could be a record once again here.

I had just one line of thunderstorms come though my area. Nothing even close to severe, over towards SE IA, and parts of IL/MO/IN/WI/MN they all had some warnings. The Quad Cities put out around 4 tornado warnings I believe. So this polar front didn't do much for me. It looks like the next passage of a very strong front is expected early next week, most likely Tuesday timeframe. Will still have to watch and see what models do with that disturbance.

Man you mean ANOTHER Polar Front is forecasted to come down this way? That might mean another Blizzard For Central Canada.

Sounds like we are getting the "2nd" part of the Severe Weather Season getting going. Could be a repeat of May!

Yes, we do have another strong disturbance that is forecast to come through most of the US. Last nights GFS doesn't have it as strong as previously, but it is still quite a ways out. Will have to keep our eyes on it.

To continue with the actual topic of this thread. Several records were broken this morning in my area. My low this morning was 38 degrees!!!! Sadly, I could very easily see my breath this morning.

Some of the records:

Sioux City reached 44, previous record 46
Sioux Falls reached 39, previous record 40
Spencer reached 40, tied previous record

I'm sure there were also many more, that so far have not become official. I'm sure tropicana will have a list of them later on today :D
