Special weather statement from Lake Charles NWS:

...SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TONIGHT...

DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS AND ISOLATED LARGE
HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE LATE EVENING ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS SEVERE WEATHER WILL MOVE EASTWARD INTO
LOUISIANA OVERNIGHT. AN ISOLATED TORNADO CAN NOT BE RULED OUT...RIGHT
ALONG THE COAST AND OVER THE COASTAL WATERS...DURING THIS TIME
PERIOD ALSO.

A POTENT STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE QUICKLY ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS...AS
WELL AS SOUTHWEST...SOUTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL LOUISIANA TONIGHT.
THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL PUSH A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE REGION. MOISTURE
POOLING IN THE LOWER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE IN ADVANCE OF THE COLD
FRONT AND AN INTENSIFYING UPPER LEVEL JET STREAM WILL AID IN SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. ALSO...STRONG TURNING WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
FORM AT AND JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE. THIS WILL ENHANCE THE ROTATION
WITHIN THE THUNDERSTORMS...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND NEAR THE COASTAL
AREAS.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND THE LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATES ON
THIS DEVELOPING WEATHER SITUATION.

Looks like we'll have another threat for severe weather Tuesday. By the way I was checked accuweather long range forecast and they didn't show any lows in the 30's for the next 15 days. Are we ever going to have a freeze this year? We're past due for our first frost and due right now for our first freeze. Coldest it has been was 37 Thanksgiving morning...
