Cold temperatures in South Carolina and wind!!!!!
Yesterday temperatures here started very early in the upper 50s and then dropped and remained in the low 50s all day here at my location. Winds were w to nw as high as 50 mph. A large branch came down in the woods in front of my house. Winds were widespread across South Carolina as well as North Carolina with reports in the higher elevations as high as 65 to 70 mph. Our low this morning at my location was 34 degrees. Winter definitely is far from over in Western North Carolina. I have heard no reports from that area. Mount Mitchell reported 16 inches of snow from yesterday to today, Beech mountain 8 inches; Buladean in Mitchell County reported in with 7 inches, locations below 3800 ft reported 2.5 to 5 inches else where except the tennessee border counties. They just closed the ski resorts before this. Ha, Ha, Ha !!!!!!!!!!!! And to think it snowed so much.

Some wacky weather sure is going on. Yesterday there was a huge thunderstorm here with I am guessing gusts to 50-60 mph and there was no warning. Then it cooled down to about 65 degrees in the middle of the day(for April that is highly unusual here). Then it warmed back up to around 75 and then went down to around 50 last night.
