TORNADO WARNINGS

As of 7 PM EDT tornado warnings are numerous in northwest Kansas as supercell thunderstorms fire up. A tornado warning continues for Russell County in effect until 6:30 PM CDT. Tornado has been sighted at 6:04 PM CDT near Russell, Kansas moving northeast at 25 mph.

At 6:06 PM CDT, a large tornado was sighted 10 miles southwest of Russell tracking towards the general vicinity of Russell, Kansas. The towns of Gorham and Russell are in the path of these tornadoes.

A tornado warning has been issued for Stafford County, KS until 7 PM CDT and that is doppler radar indicated.

A tornado warning continues for Ellis County in effect until 6:30 PM CDT, that too is doppler radar indicated.

Severe storms have popped up in northern Texas with severe tsm warnings up. Watch out in the Dallas/Fort Worth area this evening.

Tornado warning remains up until 7:15 PM CDT and it had been extended. Tornado has been spotted 1 mile west of Russell moving northeast at 25 mph.

Also tornado warning is up for western Barton County with a sighted tornado near Hosington.

Those look like some pretty nasty storms north of Dallas. Keep a close eye on the TV or your weather radio. Looks like there is a line of storms trying to organize. Don't want anyone to get hammered too bad, but I hope the line holds together until it reaches our area in southeast LA. This will be my first chance this Spring to get out and do a little chasing. Hope to get some good video........Lightning!!! Maybe even a twister........
