New York City Weather in MArch

#1 Postby sprinklerman » Wed Aug 24, 2005 2:10 pm

Anybody familar with the weather in New York City in the second week of March? I know it is a long time off and I know what the average temperatures are and of course in the spring you can have snow, but I was planning to spend a few days there with my wife. I could wait another couple of weeks but it is our anniversay the 17th and would like to be there for that and St. Patrick's parade.
Thanks!

I live in NYC, and here second week of March could mean you will be having a snowstorm, or it could mean being able to walk around in nothing but a t-shirt and shorts. So you should really pay attention to forecasts a week before you leave as it can be volatile in March. Best chance though would be upper 40s and low 50s for temps, thats about average.

St. Patrick's Day in NYC is awsome! Don't miss it! Don't worry about the weather.

As ict1523 says, just check the forecasts about a week ahead to see whether you need winter snow gear or spring clothing....or hedge your bets and pack a little of both... Layers are good....
