Northwest Harris County (TX) going through bad storms

#1 Postby Houstonia » Sun Aug 28, 2005 12:13 am

Storms been going on for an hour and a half - high winds - green lightning, power outages, pouring rain flooding my complex.

Very scary - some of the scariest storms I've been through in my year and a half living up here in the Northwest part of the county.

I'm in Southwest Harris County and we're getting the tail end of it. Sounds like it's calming down here for a little bit, but it was pretty rough earlier. The low pressure and thunder are driving my cats crazy, and I usually wouldn't care, but it's 1 o'clock in the morning.

We didn't have much here. It was a nice view on the drive home from Inkblot's house though.

Oh my gosh, it is exactly the same here!! My cats are insane and the people in my apartment complex are roaming around in the rain whooping and hollering. It's really weird and slightly crazy outside...

did you notice? no warnings or watches posted - all of our NWS guys are too busy watching Katrina to notice local bad weather!!

My cats are insane

Yours too? Thank goodness. I was scared for a minute there that the house was haunted.

I'm not sure what was creepier - my cats acting weird INSIDE my apartment, or the neighbors acting weird OUTSIDE the apartment.

I think I'll go with the neighbors...
