Sticky Idea

#1 Postby terstorm1012 » Wed Oct 26, 2005 11:58 am

I'm currently investigating going for my masters in some form of atmospheric science. Since I imagine there are a lot of students in high school or college . . . though we're all students of life in general :), I think it would be helpful to have a sticky on Education in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science, or Climatology, undergrad and grad. 8-)

Here's my list so far, geared for masters and above as I already have my bachelors.:

http://www.ametsoc.org/ (American Meteorological Society)

http://courses.uiuc.edu/cis/programs/ur ... ICSCI.html (University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana)

http://www.unh.edu/stateclimatologist/csg/bsu.htm (Ball State Climatology)

http://atmos.rutgers.edu/ (Rutgers in NJ)

http://www.geography.ohio-state.edu/pro ... r_acs.html (Ohio State)

http://www.emporia.edu/earthsci/graduat.htm (Emporia State)

http://globe.geog.niu.edu/Under_Met_03.htm (Northern Illinois University)

http://www.udel.edu/Geography/grad.html#phd (University of Delaware, Climatology)

http://www.grad.usda.gov/cgi-bin/sb/pag ... age=100834 (USDA Grad Program Certificate in Meteorology, non-degree)

http://www.unh.edu/stateclimatologist/csg/nebraska.htm (University of Nebraska Climatology)

http://www.worldcampus.psu.edu/wc/Weath ... ting.shtml (Penn State University online undergrad certificate)

That's it so far.

Thanks for posting this, will definately need it now that I'm in H.S.

You might want to post this in the Talkin' Tropics forum also or have the mods move it there.
