What is the source of those pictures? They look like some that have been referenced as having been copied and posted on the net in violation of the owner's copyright-check http://www.stormtrack.org for more information.

The first one was taken by storm chaser Mike Hollingshead.
Unfortunately, his skills at taking amazing pictures has many people claiming them as their own. His pics have been circulating around as pics from Katrina and once aired on TWC "Picture of the Day" as a thunderstorm near Dallas on May 15, 2003 (in reality, the storms that day were confined to the TX Panhandle, and that pic was actually from a storm in Nebraska from May 10 of this year). Just FYI.
The second one I don't know, but it certainly isn't upside down. Some tornadoes are indeed thicker at the bottom than the top. Others have a bottom and the top invisible.

A lot of them are Mike Hollingshead's photos which are circulating illegally. The one three posts above this is from the front cover of The Tornado: Nature's Ulimate Windstorm by Thomas Grazulis.
Mike probably posts on that forum but I don't know given they won't let me post on there.
