Nice pics Sandy. :D Although, if you want bragging rights for the heaviest fog, the west coast is still in the lead. :D

There is no competition whatsoever, they will win hands down! But for us, this has been one of the heaviest!

You obviously don't get much fog over there eh? :) Some of the fog recently here has been awful... Visibilty of maybe 25 metres at best, which isn't good when you're driving :O It's freezing fog too which makes the whole thing even more fun :P

Had that happen in my area on the night of November 15, 1998.

Visibility was reduced to 1/4 of a mile.

I hadn't seen fog like that here since I've been here (3+ years). It was pretty thick.

LOL, I looked at your pictures and thought I know that street. But every street around here looks the same, so probably not.

I wish I had some photos of the fog we'd get in southern Germany or in eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina. Visibilities were less than 20 feet--no joke. I remember nights trying toward base. The fog was so thick that it absorbed all the light. A bright, glowing base appears as if it had vanished. Stop lights are meaningless. By the time you see what color the light is, you're already in the intersection. Street signs are not visible. Navigation is done by memory--no visual clues to help you out.

Those were interesting times. :D

Anyway, great photos, Sandy!
