NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
919 PM CST TUE FEB 21 2006

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT...

.WARM MOIST AIR OVERRIDING A COOLER SURFACE WILL SET THE STAGE
FOR WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG. VISIBILITIES WILL GRADUALLY DROP AT OR BELOW
QUARTER MILE OVERNIGHT.

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

VISIBILITIES IN WIDESPREAD FOG WILL GRADUALLY FALL TO 1/4 MILE OR
LESS OVERNIGHT. EXPECT CONDITIONS TO BEGIN IMPROVING TOWARD MID
MORNING WEDNESDAY ACROSS INLAND LOCATIONS. THIS ADVISORY MAY NEED
TO BE EXTENDED LONGER FOR AREAS RIGHT ALONG THE COAST WHERE IT MAY
PERSIST A BIT LONGER.

DENSE FOG WILL ALSO AFFECT GALVESTON AND MATAGORDA BAYS AND THE
ADJACENT GULF WATERS. NAVIGATION ON THE HOUSTON GALVESTON SHIP
CHANNEL AND NEARSHORE GULF WATERS WILL BE DIFFICULT.

MOTORISTS SHOULD DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND ALLOW ADDITIONAL
TRAVEL TIME. USE LOW BEAMS...REDUCE DRIVING SPEED...AND ALLOW FOR
PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOU AND OTHER CARS. YOU CAN OVERTAKE
ANOTHER VEHICLE QUICKLY IN POOR VISIBILITIES...SO SLOW DOWN AND
DRIVE DEFENSIVELY.

My Input: Today was quite a day for north Houston...it reminded me more of San Francisco. We had an ALL DAY fog and temperatures in the lower 60s. Tonight though, this fog has become extremely dense with visibilities down to half a mile ALREADY (at 9pm) at Hooks. Many places will probably see near 0 mile visibilities tomorrow morning. Be careful on the roads!

I remember that once when I lived in Dallas it was foggy, cloudy, and drizzly the entire day. I had such a horrible headache.

Visibility here has been reduced to 1/4 of a mile.

It is so thick here, that I swear I was living in London, England.
