When was the last time that the Houston area (SE Texas) saw a "real" severe weather outbreak?

Ahh...Moderate risk. I wish we could see an event like that soon.

Be careful what you wish for. There have been many localized outbreaks in the SE TX area (beginnings of November 21-22, 1992, November 23, 2004, and December 23, 2002), which have had tornadoes very close to the Houston area. I know cool weather is exciting, but realize it can also inflict horrendous damage. A powerful tornado hitting downtown Houston can be much worse than a tornado hitting downtown Dallas.

Ya but ur more likely to get the right ingrediants for and F5 in Dallas than Houston....thats why they always use Dallas for those kind of "It could happen tomorrow" -deals
