If anyone was wondering why the Miami Radar wasn't working.
Message Date: Apr 12 2006 19:00:24 ADDITIONAL PARTS ARE NEEDED IN ORDER TO CORRECT PROBLEMS WITH THE NWS MIAMI RADA R KAMX. THE PARTS ARE ON ORDER AND ARE EXPECTED TO BE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED ON THURSDAY 04/13/06. MEANWHILE...THE RADAR WILL CONTINUE OUT OF SERVICE. UPDATED STATEMENTS WILL BE ISSUED AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.

Message Date: Apr 13 2006 14:25:51 THE NWS DOPPLER RADAR KAMX WILL CONTINUE OUT OF SERVICE UNTIL AT LEAST EARLY AFT ERNOON TODAY. NEWLY ORDERED REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE SHORTLY. UP ON RECEIPT OF THE PARTS...TECHNICIANS WILL RETURN TO THE RDA FOR INSTALLATION AN D OTHER REPAIR WORK NECESSARY TO BRING THE RADAR BACK TO NORMAL OPERATIONS. ADDI TIONAL STATEMENTS WILL BE ISSUED AS MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.
