Severe Weather - 4/13
SPC has a slight risk area out over my area here in Wisconsin. What do you guys think? Are we going to get anything?

Likely areas in the south of Wisconsin will see the worst weather from the MCS that develops. It will take from this evening and move east during the overnight hours and affect regions Friday in Ohio. Hail and wind damage are the main threats as it moves east.
Depending on the flow the risk may have to be adjusted a bit further north to include Ohio and maybe even Michigan.

Well that was terrifying.
Nasty storm started rolling through. A friend who lives on the other side of town called me and said, "Get your car in the garage. NOW."
I did. Thank God.
We just got a round of 3" hail. I've never seen hail so big. It doesn't happen up here very often. I can't believe the sound it made. Wow, terrifying. The neighbors' two cars that are outside have many dents and broken windshields.
Sheesh. At least we're not getting the tornadic stuff. This was enough excitement for one night for me.

Make sure you have your roof inspected by your insurance company. More than likely you have some serious roof damage and will need it re-roofed. Insurance will cover it. Don't go by the naked eye -- a lot of times serious roof damage won't be visible just by looking at it.
Watch out for the storm shiesters, too. They follow every major hail event and offer swift roofing. They generally do a faulty job using illegal immigrant labor and then skip town. Go with someone local, even if you have to wait, unless your roof is compromised so bad that you're getting leaks.
