Chance of Rain all this week for North Texas

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:53 pm

Well, according to the NWS Forecast, the North Texas area will be getting a chance of thunderstorms all through Friday with the best chances on Thursday. Of course, not all will see the rain but at least some areas will be soaked.

It still doesn't change the fact that some areas are under water restrictions.

There are areas that aren't under restrictions? Out here in Rockwall, we've been mandatory since June 1.

Boy, I sure hope we get some rain out of this. Here in Allen we have been under water restrictions since June 1 too. It is awful. What with the drought and the insanely high temps last week my yard is about to pack up and move to more hospitable climates!

So far, chances of 30% aren't much to get excited about. If history repeats itself, my area will not be part of the 50% coverage forecasted for Thursday. It doesn't appear that whatever we get will relieve the drought at all. Lavon is just too low.

Isn't that the truth. Every system that has come through this year is either too west/east/south or north for Allen to get any rain. I swear there is a bubble around this city. Well, it has to end sometime doesn't it...doesn't it?

I promise that we are trying our best here in Southeast Texas to push this rain to our pals in the rest of the state! :D We are getting drenched again this morning with heavy rains and we have had way too much. I hope before the day is done, you inland folks will have some of this liquid sunshine!

Appreciate the effort swampdude, but it just ain't meant to be for DFW right now. Rain chances have been dropped to 40% for tomorrow, from 50%.

Down to 20% today, and that area appears to be well SE of DFW. Oh well, another chance gone. We'll try again around mid-late Sept. Not sure of the year yet though.

It's as if a force field has been activated over the North Texas area.
