TORNADO WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FLAGSTAFF AZ
106 PM MST FRI JUL 28 2006

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR..
CENTRAL GILA COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ARIZONA

* UNTIL 130 PM MST

* AT 104 PM MST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO OVER CENTRAL
GILA COUNTY...OR ABOUT 27 MILES NORTHEAST OF ROOSEVELT...MOVING
SOUTHWEST AT 20 MPH.

* THE TORNADO IS WILL BE NEAR..
RURAL CENTRAL GILA COUNTY WEST OF ROUTE 288 THROUGH 130 PM MST

IN ADDITION TO THE TORNADO...THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
QUARTER SIZED HAIL AND WINDS TO 70 MPH.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN THE
NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

Oh yeah, everyone's fine, thanks for asking!!! Don't know for sure if the tornado actually touched down but even if it did, it was in the open desert where the only thing capable of living there is the rattlesnakes and scorpions :lol:

C'mon snow, you know that a lot more than scorpions and rattlers live in the open desert.

well, I think someone was down there, from SPC: FUNNEL CLOUD AND WALL CLOUD REPORTED OVER BRADSHAW MOUNTAINS SOUTH OF PRESCOTT (FGZ) Time was 2135
EDIT: My bad...wasnt the same county: YAVAPAI COUNTY
There was a report at 2000 of hail in Gila County 5 miles S of Pine, it was 1' in diameter...
