El Paso Area Flooding

#1 Postby jasons2k » Fri Aug 04, 2006 4:45 pm

Wow. They already had record rains on Wednesday with severe flooding. This morning I saw a news report that an earthen dam in Mexico just across the border is in danger of failing which would send a massive surge into El Paso.

Now this afternoon the radar is showing some very intense and widespread storms with banding/training in and all around El Paso. Looks like no end in sight with rain continuing in the forecast......I really feel for these people. This could be a serious problem in the making.

yeah a dam in el paso is filling over the top of the dam. Evacuations are underway of a residential area.
