Rain moves through parts of North Texas...finally!!

Dying lawns. Dehydrated reservoirs. The drought has taken its toll.

So during Sunday morning services at Grace United Methodist Church in Old East Dallas, The Rev. Chuck Cox called for divine intervention.

Then it rained.

The heavens dumped about an inch to an inch and a half in some areas of North Texas. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the official record site for the region, received just .01 inch, the first rainfall there since July 5.

Some areas of Dallas County got up to .25 inches while DFW Int'l has recorded 0.01 in. of rain.

Wow, the first rain since July 5?

Then again, Dallas can be known for its killer droughts.

But still, no rain for a month. I've lived through that. It's not fun.
