About 3:30 pm this afternoon, a violent cell merger occurred in which this cell produced vicious and very frequent cloud to ground lightning, strong gusty winds, some hail (dime to quarter size for a couple of minutes) and left a trail of destruction in one subdivision today ...
I surveyed the area today after the storms were over, and based on the damage pattern and interviews with residents, the winds were likely in the 70 to 80 mph range from a wet microburst as the cells merged ...
I have 8 photos of the damage from these storms but the files are quite large... I will put them up either on a myspace or a community webshots page or something along the lines maybe later tonight or tomorrow...
