Can't see the trees for the forest!

#1 Postby Stormavoider » Mon Aug 21, 2006 5:40 pm

How many of you have experienced the embarrassment of having a big potentially severe local storm sneak up on you while you are watching the tropics? Your family knows you spend all that time on the computer "looking at the weather". Then your wife has to tell you it's pouring rain outside. It makes you feel real smart running through the rain to put your car windows up.

How's about videotaping the aforementioned severe storm for 20 minutes before realizing much too late that the car windows are open.

The weather here in San Diego is boring, but unexpected things can happen very quickly. So yes, it has happened, though very rarely.
