#1 Postby Stormsfury » Fri Jul 18, 2003 10:11 pm

Today, lightning strikes a radio tower in Charleston, SC ... knocking off 3 AM radio stations located in the same building ... all the electrical outlets manning the radio stations were fried .. the radio stations are expected to be back on the air in 1 to 2 weeks ...

Wow, it is going to take that long for the radio stations to come back on the air?

I was visiting Charlottesville, Virginia during the first third of June in 1997 and there was a very strong-severe thunderstorm that moved through the city and the AM radio station went off the air... but came on several minutes later.
