Storm/Low pressure dvlping off FLA forecast Nov 20-22

#1 Postby tbstorm » Fri Nov 17, 2006 6:30 pm

The models are forecasting a big arctic blast and developing low off the SE usa coast Nov 20-22. Looks real windy and cold if this forecast verifies... the GFS even had 0C in central florida!

Heres the NAM showing 5C over florida.. more believable but still that's damn cold for November!

brr.. That run of the NAM shows 0C in Houston. Going to be a cold one across the entire Gulf coast and SE! I even see that Orlando should stay in the 50s on Tuesday. From living in Florida for many years, I KNOW how rare that is for November (especially in recent years).

Looks like the models are really picking up on that low winds should get crankin on the E coast of FL on Tue-Wed. We've even got the 0C into S FL. Wow. Over there in TX you're in the 0C solid. Pretty impressive cold blast!

MWS Wakefield is hinting at possible storm warnings mid week if this low deepens enough. Onshore storm force winds here will cause significant, and possibly severe, beach erosion and tidal flooding.
