USA Lower 48 Temperature spread

If I have looked at the weather across the Country right the temperature will be from about 35 below zero north, to about 80 around Los Angles! Man that's about a 120 spread!

Yeah, the coldest midwest and plain temps since 96. Why don't people start discussing global cooling?

Probably because one cold snap in one region of the planet does not equate to globabl cooling. Just as one warm stretch does not mean global warming.

It's the overall trends and patterns....and the evidence which shows some of the last few years have been the warmest on record on earth. But that doesn't mean winter still won't be cold!

how can u say global cooling when parts of europe are up around 4C above normal for winter.

I would call it a localised event
