I don't know that rainfall total for June here in Shenzhen, just north of Hong Kong, but I can tell you we had our share of rain too. July has started much like June ended.

When the monsoon decides to soon it can really dump. In July 1972 Clark AB got 89.6 inches of rain for the month despite the fact that a. the first 6 days were mostly dry and b. the Base lies in the rainshadow of the Zambales Mountains. Average annual rainfall at Clark is 79 inches.

Don't forget Typhoon Fengshen affected Hong Kong quite severely as a severe tropical storm which will have dumped a lot of rain too.
