FRANKFURT (AFP) - Sudden snowstorms across Germany snarled air traffic, leading to the cancellation of about 90 flights and delays of dozens more.
A spokeswoman for Frankfurt international airport, Germany's largest, said Monday that heavy snow had held up several flights by about an hour while aircraft were de-iced and runways cleared.
In Berlin, Tegel airport was also required to delay flights by an hour and flights from southern Germany arrived 30 to 40 minutes later than scheduled.
Snow was expected to turn to rain overnight in many parts of the country.
