FRANKFURT, Germany Feb. 25 - Snowy and blustery weather forced the cancellation of 76 flights Wednesday morning at Frankfurt airport, continental Europe's busiest.
Thirteen other flights were diverted because one runway was closed at Frankfurt for snow clearing, airport spokesman Rolf-Dieter Schaller said. Most other flights were running late, partly because planes needed to be de-iced.
Heavy snowfall and frost disrupted road traffic across Germany, and forecasters predicted the wintry weather would last at least until the beginning of next week.
