It's that time of the month again and we must select a storm or weather event as "Storm of the Month."

Eastern European storms is the only non-tropical candidate I can think of.

Probably being US centric, and being Texas centric and some rain for the lawn, Dolly a close second, but its gotta be Bertha.

I will cheese a certain Eastern Hemisphere poster off, but I have imbibed adult beverages in Bermuda.

Heres a tip, if you're going to take a jab at someone, don't make it so obvious on who it is.

The fires aren't a weather event, surely. They shouldn't count, although the weather event that caused them could be nominated.

I'm going to pick Dolly for two reasons. It was the most persistent tropical cyclone I have ever seen, and it impacted the US.Bertha was a stronger cane, and did last alongtime but did not do as much damage to land

I nominate the record breaking rainfall in Toronto for the month of July. It won't win but it's worth a mention.
