We're in 2009 but we need to look back 31 days and nominate storms or weather events that you think were the most important in the month of December. You have 48 hours to nominate.

Use the power you have and in a few days we will know which storm or weather event was "The Storm of the Month."

Looks like winter storms will dominate the list - there really wasn't a whole lot else.

After this is done, we should have the Storm of the Year for 2008.

It should be the 11 undisputed winners only (not counting either of the April winners; neither would likely win anyway) - no new nominations for that.

December 2008.

Being a little parochial, but since Cyclone Billy was at its strongest at sea, and I got to jump up and down in glee over it, I think the Houston to New Orleans Miracle Snow.

Being from the Houston area myself I would have to agree.
I know some mets were hinting around to the possibility, but I don't believe any saw the amount and duration we experienced.
Possibility of a few flakes turned into a few inches on the ground. Of course, Pasadena, Deer Park, Channelview, basically the East side of Harris County, saw a little more than a few inches.
