New Zealand is bracing itself for more flooding after one of the most devastating storms ever to hit the country.
The national weather office issued a special warning that two more storms are set to batter North island.
Up to 8.8 inches of rain is expected in the southern half of the island where rivers are already badly swollen.
Troops and air forces helicopters are on standby to remove people to safety.
The latest storm warning comes after rivers burst their banks and flooded vast areas of farmland.
Trees and power cables were blown down and rooves torn off in what is expected to be the nation's most expensive storm.
Farmers have been warned they will not have time to repair breached flood barriers before the new storms arrive.
They have been urged to move livestock to high ground.
