Heat Forecast causes Shanghai to move factory production to nighttime to avert power shortage
Authorities in the Chinese city of Shanghai will force another 400 companies to switch operations to the night from Monday to help alleviate a power shortage.
That means 2,100 companies will operate at night while 3,000 others will switch between day and night-time operations.
Local media reports say the new round of electricity rationing is the result of forecast high temperatures next week.
