More than 100 households in remote east Gippsland near the Victoria-New South Wales border are still without power after heavy snow storms on Saturday in Australia.
Three days of snow and wild winds brought down trees and powerlines and blocked the main roads linking Victoria and New South Wales.
Access to many remote properties has been cut off by about half a meter of snow.
Residents at Bonang and Tubbut are isolated and have no electricity for heating or pumping water.
In some pockets people are relying on stored food because they cannot get to their local store because of the deep snow.
Graders are working to clear fallen trees and snow on the roads and the power company Country Energy is working to get to damaged lines.
Locals say they are alright for now but the situation will deteriorate if cold conditions continue.
Jean Lankhorst from Bonang says there are not enough graders and road clearing machines and people could be snowed in for days.
"They say they're so busy on the Spring Gap road into Delegate, there's so many trees down, they're clearing all the trees and then trying to clear the snow," she said.
"No grader will be available to clear these local roads or driveways for several days."
Victoria-NSW still snowed in
