Looks like a T5 or T6 from that report.

Hi P.K,looks like a strong tornado to me,certainly quite rare out in New Zeland no doubts about,I'd also say around T-6 looks quite probable and a impressive looking tornado,it wouldn't be out of place in tornado alley yet alone New-zeland :eek:

Apparently Greymouth is the Selsey of New Zealand. They had a fairly strong tornado there a few years ago as well.

This looks like it is probably a F2 in relation to the F scale here in America. Amazing video. :)
