Solar storms
It seems like I've been hearing more lately about CME's and large magnetic solar storms affecting Earth, more than usual. Is this true? Also, I read not but a few days ago about a sun spot on the opposite side of the Sun I think, that could produce some big storms when it's facing Earth. Is that true? Also, are there any good websites and whatnot for tracking space weather?

For starters you can go to http://www.sec.noaa.gov as well as http://www.spaceweather.com. That will get you started and the latter site has a number of links. I know another site that also has a Spaceweather section with links but I can't tell you what it is since I don't have permission. Also, there are some of us who discuss ongoing Solar activity from time to time when it's noteworthy.
