Boarding windows without Plylox.

#1 Postby Roxy » Wed Sep 21, 2005 12:49 pm

Someone please help me. My Fiance is at Lowes and he thinks he can get some plywood, but they have no plylox.

He isn't sure how to attach them to the windows, please give me ideas....and be specific.

Thanks.

If you have a CBS (concrete block stucco) home, use 3/16" TapCon (blue) concrete fasteners along with a large fender washer. 2 1/2" or longer is the right length.

If the home is frame construction, use 3/16 or 1/4" lag bolts (also 2 1/2" long) with the fender washer.

You are very welcome.

Have him pick up a tube of caulk to seal the holes with later.

And good luck to you and yours.

Not only was he able to get plenty of plywood but a Truck rolled up with Plylox too!!! This was after waiting for four hours.

We were only able to board downstairs, and are making our preparations to leave within 12 hours...

Thanks you guys!!
