That's an insult to Florida. Or the northeast. I'm not sure which.
Key West was a southern city, Miami too ("Mi-amuh" is how locals said it) until the 60s at least. Also had a long tourism tradition and mixing with the Caribbean, but the fort in Key West had to be taken by Union soldiers in the civil war.
