Eastern Atlantic Tropical Summary - EATS OUT on August 17, 2005

Guess who is back? Yep, the little guy is trying to make his dry air
presence known i the Atlantic, and he's doing a pretty good job of it.
More moisture along with another tropical wave is poised to move off
of the African coast today - this will work against the little guy and his dry air.
An area of disturbed weather near 30 degrees continues to fire
convection off as it moves westward. This may become an invest in the
next 24-48 hours.
Another tropical wave on the edge of the dry air near 45 degrees shows
no signs of development.
I do not expect tropical cyclone development in the Eastern Atlantic in the
next 48-72 hours.
