Derek Ortt is there too. He just posted on the pro board that he was inside the eyewall! Katrina must have made landfall where he works.

I just drove around inside the eye.... and got some video... and a lot of pics.

A lot of mahogony trees snapped in half or fell over completely in miami lakes. My vantage pro was measuring winds only around 40-50mph though in the western eyewall. The eastern should be worse, but i still have power. Including enough backup to last a couple days! ;)

I went out onto the beach infront of my house before the eyewall came and experienced the winds coming straight off the water. (stupid, but safer because no debris from the water.)
